What the heck does iSwami mean? It's derived from the word Swami which loosely means leader or guide. The short of it is that we see iSwami.com as your internet leader or guide. There's more on this on our founder's page.

How do you rate the services and businesses that are listed on your site? It's all pretty simple and subjective. Either we have a good experience directly or one of our users brings a business to our attention. It's just like a trusted friend that you ask where they had their car fixed. You'll most likely go to that shop because your friend had a good experience. If you don't have someone that can recommend a good pizza restaurant in your town, we're that friend.

Must the business have a web site? Yes. We're not the yellow pages, so a phone number and address won't do. Not only does the business have to be good, it also must have a web presence. It's also kind of hard to link to a site if there isn't one. If a businesses is suggested and we feel it would be the best choice for our users, then we contact the business and ask that they provide a web site.

Why must the business or service have a web site? It's so we as consumers can research a little further and learn about this business that's just been recommended to us. And, if we like what we see, we can then make contact.

What if my city isn't listed? That's all right, we add new cities all the time. If you have a referral for anything in your area, please submit and we'll add it to the site.

I've submitted businesses, why aren't they listed on the site? In order to be listed, the businesses must have a web site. If you did not provide the site information we do our best to search for it. If we can't find it, we do call the business and ask that they provide us with that information. If they do not have a site or do not plan on developing one, unfortunately we can't include them here.
